Kazakhstan-made offroader called Nomad will appear in Kazakhstan in the end of 2012, MK Kazakhstan writes citing Director General of Allur Auto Andrei Lavrentyev. “We are talking about a crossover class car that will be assembled in Kazakhstan only. The first car will be manufactured in the end of 2012. This model will be called Nomad,” Lavrentyev said at the briefing in Astana. He noted that the license for manufacturing this car was purchased from SsangYong, a partner of Allur Auto. Eight countries, including Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Iraq and Pakistan will be able to buy the Kazakh offroaders for $19,000 per a car. The company is planning to manufacture 15 thousand cars in 2012. According to Director General, assembling of Nomad started in Kostanai in summer 2010. The plan is to increase capacity to 25 thousand cars by 2017. The total amount of investments exceeds $16 million. The company is also planning to manufacture Kyron, Rexton and Actyon offroaders in 5 modifications.
